"a piece of furniture to relax and rest"
The living room...
...haven of peace for us and our loved ones and gathering place for all the things,
that we love: A stack of magazines and favourite books is just as much a part of it,
as souvenirs from our last beach holiday or the new favourite piece
from the last flea market visit.
But the heart of every living room is the sofa.
And it has to be really cosy! Like the sofas from JOKA.
The sleeper changes his or her position up to 80 times a night in order to relieve different parts of the body and to allow the intervertebral discs and spine to recover. The mattress chosen should therefore not be too soft, because too much sinking in restricts the natural changes in position. At the same time, however, it should not be too hard either, as this leads to more frequent and restless movements.
What you should pay attention to
Ventilation of the mattress: If you consider that the human body releases up to 0.4 litres of water vapour per night, the great importance of this property becomes clear. Only the unique ventilation of the mattress, as well as the support of moisture removal by the materials used in the covers, can ensure an optimal microclimate and pleasant comfort while sleeping.
Relief for the spine: It is also important to ensure that the spine is kept straight by allowing the shoulder and pelvic area to sink in slightly when lying on the side, and that support is provided in the lumbar area when lying on the back.
Spring core
JOKA is the only Central European mattress manufacturer to use a double-patented spring wire in its spring mattresses. This increases the permanent elasticity of the spring core. Enjoy perfect spring and support strength and an exceptionally good microclimate when sleeping due to the optimal ventilation of the mattresses.
FlexiNet®
The innovation in the field of cold foam mattresses is the high-quality braided core, the FlexiNet® system. The excellent ventilation of the FlexiNet® system creates an excellent dry and warm bed climate. The multiplication of house dust mites is prevented by the dry bed climate. The high point elasticity of the FlexiNet® system relieves the shoulders and hips and ensures effective regeneration of the back and intervertebral discs. The relatively low weight of FlexiNet® mattresses makes them easy to re-cover and turn.
Barrel pocket spring core
In the case of the barrel pocket spring core, the individual barrel-shaped springs are sewn into pockets made of spun fleece and joined together. Due to the high number of barrel pocket springs in a base bed or mattress (500 springs/m2), a very point-elastic and excellently ventilated lying surface is created.
No matter which JOKA bed variant you choose, the lying comfort is always excellent!
With our upholstered beds, we can respond individually to your lying needs and equip the bed of your choice with a JOKA mattress that is tailored to you. In addition, our upholstered beds have a generous bedding storage area. You are also more flexible when it comes to the slatted frame, as you can choose from all JOKA slatted frame variants, from rigid to head and foot raisers to motorised versions.

 To the upholstered beds
Instead of a slatted frame, a box spring bed uses a sprung base similar to a mattress. The actual mattress then lies on the base frame. Since there is a mattress on top of a mattress, the double spring travel results in excellent lying comfort. The mattress can be upholstered in a variety of ways to suit your needs. Due to its relatively high structure, a box spring bed has an optimal entry height and is also visually very inviting.
